The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) men’s national teams compete in the Asia Cup, an international cricket competition, every two years. The Asia Cup 2023 represents the 19th edition of the tournament. Taking place from August 30 to September 17, 2023, it will be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and Pakistan. There will be two groups in the 2023 edition, and two teams from each of them will qualify for the Super Four stage. The Super Four stage’s top two teams will then compete in the championship. The first match of the 2023 edition of the Asia Cup will take place in Multan between Pakistan and Nepal. Six teams will compete in the competition, divided into two groups: Group A will consist of Pakistan, India, and Nepal, while Group B will have Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. Hosting duties are split between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, and the games will be contested in a fifty-over style. Four games will be played in Pakistan at two different locations, with the remaining matches being played in Sri Lanka. The ASIA Cup 2023 is planned to occur in Pakistan, but the Indian team will not go there. Because of this, the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) may either choose a neutral site for the competition or try to hold it without India, which seems unlikely.
